That includes the qualified-inspector walk, sump measurements, control-structure verification, littoral-shelf review, and the signed report submitted to your engineer of record.
What drives it up
- Number of ponds — each additional pond adds bathymetry / littoral checks.
- BMP inventory — grease interceptors, oil-water separators, and filter inserts each add inspection steps.
- Outfall count and access — tidal outfalls have to be timed with low tide; canal-bank walks add crew hours.
- Baffle boxes and hydrodynamic separators — sump-depth verification plus disposal manifests.
- CCTV requirement — if the permit calls for camera verification of pipe runs, add per-foot footage.

Small commercial pad (1 pond, <20 basins): $999–$1,800.
Mid-size HOA (2–3 ponds, 40–80 basins, multiple outfalls): $2,500–$5,500.
Large master-planned community or industrial park (4+ ponds, 100+ basins, complex BMPs): $6,000–$15,000.
